We have very good guiding unit in our school. The members of guiding unit are highly talented. Our guiding unit participate Rajapuraskar test and Rashtrapathi test in every year and most of the students pass their exam with good score.
In district camporee we have been securing the overall first for five consecutive years. Our guiding unit participates every year in the competitions of the Gandhi jayanthi.
Every year our Junior Redcross has stamped their signature in the history of Sacred Heart with their humanitarian services and by ranking first in the District Public Day Parade. 50 cadets went through plethora of activities like rally, awareness programmes, volunteering works which turned them to respond to emergency situations. They also excelled in their A, B and C level exams with high marks.
In our school we have NCC. Each and every year our students participate in exam which is conducted from national NCC unit, proudly we can say that our most of the students pass this exam with high score. NCC helps our students to make a good person and also make good patriot for our country.
The world environmental day was celebrated and students were motivated to support sustainable and equitable development towards nature. And they were inspired to save the trees which concluded in an oath to keep up the promise. Planted saplings were distributed to the children to nurture the Mother Nature.
Sacred Heart School provides personality development classes to students. These classes help them to be a good person in the society. For developing good personality we conduct some activities related to the social topics.
We care about the career of students so we provide career guidance classes and career guidance discussion in the school.
In the present situation most of the educated persons have no idea about how to handle English language. To solve this problem we provide spoken English classes to our students. So our students are highly talented to handle English language. English is the language of world so the knowledge about English is very essential.
For improving the news paper reading in students every day we conducts quiz competitions within the school based on the daily news. Our assumption is that these types of competitions improve the reading skills of the students and make them a better person useful for our society.
We have a science club in our school; they do some active works every year. Every year our science club students conduct some exhibitions based on science. Also our students participate in competitions that are conducted outside school. These competitions help our students to make innovative ideas based on science.
Our social club is very active in our school and outside the school. The members of social club try their maximum for improving social responsibilities of the public. Club conducts some classes and some other activities. Every year social club celebrates anti tobacco day on June 26th by conducting rally with placards. The world population day was given much importance in the month of July.
We have a mathematics club in our school. The mathematics club conducted many programmes based on mathematics related topics. Every year we conducted some events or exhibitions based on mathematics under the control of mathematics club. Talented students are participating in mathematics events in the District level or State level. Most of the students have attained prizes.
The academic year 2015-2016 was a good year for mathematics in our school. The mathematics club conducted mathematics exhibition and found out the talented students.
Representing the school in the sub district level the participants secured overall first.
Representing the school in the revenue level competitions we are selected as the best school.
Every year Sacred Heart school conducts sports day for developing the abilities of students in the field of sports and games. We have a sports club; they take effort to organize the sports and games with in the school. The members of sports club are very active to do such activities.
Our students participate in the state level competitions in every year. Our high school level section gained aggregate first for continuous 16 years in sub district school athletic meet. We also became overall champion for 4 consecutive years in sub district level school games.
Every year we conduct youth festival in our school. The youth festival helps students to improve their skills in extra curriculum activities. The winners of the youth festival then participate in competitions which are conducted outside the school.
KCSL-Kerala Catholic Students Legue,the first and oldest association of catholic students, has been functioning actively among the Catholic Students for deepening faith and helping them to grow in Jesus with motto of faith,study and service
Sacred heart was started as a lower primary school at the year 1920. Every year we are celebrating our annual day . Our students perform many entertainment events on this day.
